CRP is one of the most common inflammation markers tested in blood work.

 

And yet, most people only hear about it if something is clearly wrong.

 

But CRP can also offer insight into something much more subtle:

Even when everything is technically “normal.”

What Is CRP?

CRP stands for C-reactive protein.

 

It’s a protein made by the liver in response to inflammation in the body.

 

When inflammation increases → CRP can increase.

 

That’s why it’s often used as a general marker of:

• tissue stress

 

What CRP Is NOT

CRP does not tell you:
